Critical Situation for Chennai Super Kings

The match against Rajasthan Royals on Sunday (starting on 4 PM IST) will be a critical match for the Chennai Super Kings, having lost 4 of their 6 matches. CSK is at the bottom of the points table, just above the Kings XI Punjab. To have any chance of getting into the last 4, CSK needs to start winning and move up the points table.

This years IPL has been a torrid star for CSK with start players (Jacom Oram, Andre Flintoff) out with injuries and Dhoni also not playing a couple of matches. With the first round robin of IPL 2010 almost coming to an end, CSK needs to win the next couple of matches and try to regain the momentum.

The Rajasthan Royals on the other hand are on a roll having won their last two matches and Yusuf Pathan in a terrific and threatening form.

The players to watch out will be Mathew Hayden for the Chennai Super Kings and Yusuf Pathan for the Rajasthan Royals. CSK seems to be depending more on the Mongoose Man Hayden for a good start.

Will the Mongoose work out this time? In the match against Delhi, Hayden blasted out the bowling with the Mongoose but since then it doesnt seem to have worked for him. Will he pick up the Mongoose this time early in the innings or be more cautious?

Watch out for:

Yusuf Pathan Vs. Murualitharan

Hayden Vs. Shane Warne
